Kangana Ranaut defeated Congress’s Vikramaditya Singh
Elections were held in seven phases for the 543 Lok Sabha seats in the country. Voting for the first phase was held on 19 April and for the last phase on 1 June. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also contested the election from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket this time.
The actress, known for her outspoken opinions, was in the fray against Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh, son of six-time former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and current Mandi MP Pratibha Singh. Kangana has proved to be the queen of politics as well and has defeated Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh by a huge margin. Kangana is leading Vikramaditya by 73703 votes. Kangana is overjoyed after this victory.

Originally from Himachal Pradesh, Kangana left home to become an actress at the age of 17 after failing in 12th. After this, Kangana started modeling in Delhi and then reached Mumbai.
